Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Shady Areas Mix is specially formulated to grow a thick, healthy lawn in shaded areas where other grasses do not perform well. It contains a blend of fine fescue, ryegrass, and Kentucky bluegrass varieties selected for their ability to thrive in low-light conditions, helping develop an attractive green lawn. The mix also features Scotts® WaterSmart® PLUS Coating, which absorbs more water and nutrients to support better germination, improved root development, and faster establishment, while also helping protect seed from disease.
Ideal for lawns receiving less than 4 hours of sunlight per day, apply in spring or fall when temperatures are 15 to 26°C (60 to 80°F). A 1 kg bag covers up to 246 m² (2,648 ft²).
