Miracle-Gro® Perlite Soil Conditioner (0.04-0.01-0.06) is a lightweight soil amendment made from volcanic glass that has been heated to create a porous material designed to improve soil drainage, aeration, and structure. It promotes healthier root development by creating air pockets that allow roots to access oxygen more easily while improving water movement to prevent waterlogged conditions that can lead to root rot.
