For best results, plant new seeds in spring or early fall when temperatures are consistently 15° to 26°C (60° to 80°F). Overseeding: Mow lawn at the lowest setting. Rake to loosen the top layer of soil. Remove the clippings and any dead grass. Bare soil: Rake to loosen the top 3-5 cm of soil.
Use a Scotts® spreader. Afterwards lightly rake the area to ensure the seed contacts the soil.
